After experiencing Shake Shack yesterday, I decided to do a quick comparison today for lunch. I'm usually a Five Guys fan, so this location was a natural comparison to Shake Shack since they're close by. I ordered the same exact thing here as I ordered yesterday at SS.... Single bacon cheeseburger, hot dog and drink. Price wise, pretty much the exact same total. However the equivalent burger is cheaper here than at the Shack. The hot dogs are cheaper at the Shack. Use that information accordingly. The hot dogs were comparable. You don't usually go to Five Guys for hot dogs though. The burger I had, well... I was surprised. I thought it lacked a little something here. The bacon was overcooked a bit which made it lose its flavor. The beef seemed a little bland to me. I usually like Five Guys. So this is just as surprising to me. I didn't hate the burger. I just wasn't wowed by it. I think my trips out west to In N Out last year have spoiled me.

This location of Five Guys is very similar to the other locations of the joint that I have visited. Order your burger (little cheeseburger, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard)/fries/drinks and wait for five minutes. Munch on peanuts if you're hungry. The burger was a bit thinner than I remember, but the flavors, as always, were meaty and delicious. Something I noticed recently is that the chain created a "small" fry-- it feeds "1 to 2" people, which was an adequate descriptor. I was very pleased about this, as it meant that I could order fries and NOT burst at the seams. Something about the peanut oil makes the fries feel so heavy, so I was really happy to have a manageable portion (still filled quite a bit of the bag, haha, even if it was a smaller cup). This location has an interesting little waiting area that looks like the inside of a standalone Five Guys. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

Excellent burgers, order ready in about 5-7 minutes (I go around 10:30 to avoid lines). Good service. Only complaint is the fries have really gone down hill.

What better way to take a break from putting a dent in your personal finances while shopping at the KOP mall, then by shoving some tasty burger down your gullet to rejuvenate your soul. Ordered the "little" cheeseburger with bacon (and don't be fooled, there is nothing little about this fella). They offer a seemingly endless list of toppings options, most at no extra charge. However, I am lame, and only went with the bacon. I could write a thesis on the nastiness that is ketchup, but I will spare you this time. As for the taste...absolute goodness. Add in some fries and you have true bliss. A fast-food burger shouldn't taste so good, but as my mouth waters writing this, it just does, it just does.

One of the best fast food burgers out there period! Still great after all these years. Get the everything which has all the toppings and fries that are fresh cut with a coke to top it off and you won't be disappointed.

Located inside the mall, lowest level food court - this place is quick and offers the best burger option in the area. Free refill on drinks, extra scoop of fries as usual, this place is definitely a plus to have in the mall.

GREAT food. Worth the wait. The funny part is the owner has noooooo idea how much food his staff gives to friends for hook ups around the mall. I don't work in this mall, but I've seen dudes from Gap, A&F, American Eagle hand merchandise over the counter to employees and the employees had over food. Customers usually stare in amazement.

Best burger ANYWHERE. Not kidding. Fries are to die for. Staff is efficient and very kind. I highly recommend!

Shake Shack, go take a hike! Five Guys is so much better. Every time I'm craving a burger and fries, it's Five Guys all the way. Love their burgers. They're juicy, but not too greasy, you can add toppings and the bread is nice and not soggy. It's just tasty and the fries are yummy too. If you come at lunch, it's usually pretty crowded at the counter, but there's plenty of seating in the food court.

I tried five guys a few years ago and it horrible, I would have rather ate at burger king (which is boiled meat). The burger at five guys was oily and bland, I swore off eating there ever again. That is until my friend talked me into giving them another chance, I regret that decision. I felt sick the entire day after eating five guys. Wish I could give you negative stars because your burgers are nothing but hype.

We have eaten at Five Guys (both at this location and others) many times. Our experience has been that service is consistently good (they are especially friendly at the King of Prussia, PA mall location), the food is delicious and prices are fair. This is simple American food made right: Delicious burgers and dogs. They are great plain, but a wide variety of toppings are available. The fries are made fresh on the premises and are wonderful. Seating at the King of Prussia mall is in the food court, so it may be tough during weekday lunch hours.

i don't know why i was even at king of prussia mall. i always swear it'll be my last time. I saw the 5 guys and had to try it. Had seen and heard many times before. I wasn't even hungry, but missing In-n-Out, i was searching for something to plug that hole. It was expensive, around 9 bux for cheeseburger and fries. it wasn't bad, but not worth the money compared to something from Good Dog or a similar city spot. the hamburger is 2 patties, sloppy and greasy like a hamburger stand should be. I tried it once. That'll be it. How could it even compare to a double double with fries and a drink for under five dollars?

I was turned onto five guys by someone else--i eventually realized there was one in the KOP MALL! So we took the trip down, ordered up the burgers and fries...and...WAIT First off, i'd consider myself a cheeseburger connosieuer. SteakNShake was my all time fav. So i bit into the burger and it was heaven in aluminum foil. I've never had such a juicy burger that was 100% done all the way through. the cheese was perfectly melted (not sliding off), and the bun was so fresh and soft.. not too tall and not flimsy, just the right bread:meat ratio. the fries, well theyre good--im not a big fry person but if you're a party of two, get a large, otherwise, do not--its a POUND! Free drink refills! The employees are amazing--never in my 5-6 times so far have i gotten an incorrect order, and they're super polite and look like they enjoy their jobs which is more than i can say for most 'fast food employees'. Since that day, i've eaten at a Manhatten FiveGuys and a DC location--both amazing. I LOVE YOU FIVE GUYS--NEVER GO AWAY :)

When you are dying for a good burger this is definitely the place to go. The fries are delicious and the burgers are as well. You can add any topping you'd like on the burgers to get whatever taste you desire that day. This is definitely not something I would eat on a regular basis due to being so greasy but any time I'm in the mood for a burger it is my default choice over some place like burger king or mcdonald's.

I customized the living hell out of my burger, and I'd do it again. I had a bacon cheeseburger - they're freaking huge, by the way - and tossed on relish, grilled onions, a few pickles, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, jalapeno peppers (love the spice), and green peppers. Atop that heaping, greasy mess, I asked them to slather A-1 sauce on. A few of the toppings I requested aren't part of Five Guys's complimentary toppings, and upped the bill accordingly. The grand total? $16.[1] It was worth every penny. Next time you visit Five Guys, ask for the Dave H. special, and don't be surprised if you get strange looks. Recommended for a tasty lunch or dinner. Find them in the downstairs King of Prussia Plaza food court near Sears. [1] Before you write your congressman, I neglected to mention that I paid for my friend's little cheeseburger too (with lettuce, grilled onions, and tomatoes), along with an order of regular fries - she was a Five Guys virgin. There might have been a Coke, too.

Had a little cheeseburger with onions, mushrooms, mayo, and ketchup and it was pure perfection. Good amount of toppings and a well cooked burger. The bun was nice too. Cajun fries were yummy as well. I can't wait to go back!

My mouth waters just thinking about Five Guys. First off, being a SoCal native - the land of the In N Out, I won't compare Five Guys to In N Out because I think they are slightly different animals. You can get a very good and inexpensive burger at In N Out (i.e. around $2.50 or so), whereas at Five Guys, you can get a slightly more expensive burger with a heaping helping of toppings for a little bit more. (Plus, a huge distinction between the two is peanut oil. 'Nuff said there.) As it's been noted, the fries at Five Guys are top notch, especially the Cajun fries. Mmm. I've recently downgraded myself to a Little Cheeseburger because a) I'm a wuss and b) I can't devour a regular one without feeling super full. The staff here are pretty nice. Once, the person who took my order said thanks in haiku. Haha, that was a nice touch!

When I was a kid, every place my parents took me for dinner, I would ask the waitress if they had lobster while my mother frowned. The answer was usually no and I would quickly reply "okay, hamburger, french fries and a coke". These days my favorite lunch on a Saturday is... yeah you guess it. Let's just call it my HFC. Five guys is a good burger place, not the best, but good for fast food. I like the fries with the skins on. Gots to add a lot of salt. I like how the floor is so greasy some days you could slip and fall. Wear boots. The place is very casual, like McDonalds without the ball pit. The food is expensive for what it is. And they really need beer. So that I can imbibe, I do take out and drive 90 mph down 202 to Malvern. But it's always cold by the time I get home. And last time they left the bacon off my burger. Boo. Maybe I need one of those silver lined pizza box/bag thingies the Domino's guy has... Go, you'll like it. Bring a 6 pack in your girlfriend's purse.

Delicious little cheeseburger. The toppings I chose we're grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, green peppers, jalopeno peppers, and A-1 sauce. Just getting a LCB without the fries is enough for me! Btw, the fries are still delicious. Always hand cut and made to order.

If you're going to eat fast food, this is a pretty decent burger. And the fries are fantastic.

The food is good, even when they are not busy it seems to take a while to be served. Ive been to others and been served food a lot quicker.

I won't bother reviewing Five Guys food, since there are already many reviews of this chain's multiple locations in the region - it suffices to say that most people really like the Five Guys hamburgers although there is a vocal minority that says they are nothing special. Rather, I'll review this location in the context of the often groady mall food court experience. First off, you can clearly see the food preparation area and it is spotless; no filthy shirted teenagers wiping their noses and popping gum. Second, they've clearly trained their employees in the basics of customer service - smile, make eye contact, don't treat the customer as unwanted annoyance. Third, your cooked-to-order food is prepared about quickly as you could expect, so you're not waiting too much longer than you would at the food court places that serves you slop from a tray in the steam table. A final note is that it is really easy to order too much food at Five Guys. I'm an overweight six foot tall guy. The "little hamburger" and half an order of regular-size fries is enough to stuff me. It actually doesn't look like much food when you get it; I suppose it must be very dense, because it leaves your stomach full. Trust me, when I've gotten more, I've regretted it.

As a teenager, the King of Prussia mall was virtually my second home. I spent more time trolling its well-lit corridors than I did in school, that's for sure. The Chick-Fil-A in the food court also earned about 20% of my gross annual income at the time, but if Five Guys had been there, it would have been more of a horse-race. Burgers come in customizable sizes -- little burgers (one patty), big burgers (two patties) and even vapor-lock size (three patties!). I always choose a "little burger" topped with cheese, mushrooms, grilled onions, mayo and lettuce and it's definitely ample enough to fill me up. The fries are hand-cut from actual potatoes on-site, and the brimming, grease-stained paper bagful you receive is surely enough to share. They are usually nice and crispy, but sometimes you'll get a sad sack of limp guys. And nobody likes limp guys. Tables are plentiful, but the mall food court can get quite crowded on weekends and during the weekday lunch hour with dudes trying to keep ketchup on the burger and off their ties. Circle shark-like to score a seat, and remember to recycle your bottles and cans... they have new separate bins for recyclables.

This is a decent burger and fries. A notch above Mickey D's but not by any means anything special. Slightly upturned face

I am usually at KOP on a sorta regular basis to eat at one of their food courts and I eat at Five Guys whenever I am extremely hungry. The first time I ate here, I was a little hesitant since it was much more expensive than what I was used to (McD's, BK, etc). The guy at the counter basically said to me, "Trust me, it's worth it." He was right. That little bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, and A1 sauce was amazing! The fries were amazing as well although I felt that the small order was way too much. I returned to the counter when I was done and said to him, "You were right" and he smiled in agreement. I have eaten there a few more times over the past several months and the burgers and fries have always been amazing. The staff has always been very nice to me, even offering me a free refill of my drink from time to time, since I usually sit close by. That kind of service coupled with the amazing attention to detail with the food has shied me away from burger places like McD's and BK. Five Guys has kind of raised my standards for what a burger should be like. I just make sure to eat there only when I'm absolutely hungry as the portions are huge. I am unsure if they do this at this location, but I know that you can preorder online through their website and just stop over and pick up your order. This is useful if you are in a hurry or if you have a really big order. I have seen this done once at another location when a bunch of friends of mine were placing a big order for 8 of us. They messed up our order but felt so bad for the mess-up, they gave us our corrected order and extra fries for free. We were extremely full that night with 2 burgers and a huge amount of fries, but were so satisfied from the meal. That was a classy move on their part, in my opinion, and would make me want to eat there more often should the craving arise.

I had my very first five guys burger at this very place. Everything about it was amazing especially the infinite amount of free toppings you get! Score! They're fries were pretty decent and the staff was friendly. The burger was so juicy and flavorful.

This is fast food at its best. The variety of toppings (like mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc) catapults this chain to the top of the fast food heap. The plain burgers are already pretty good, but once you add grilled mushrooms, onions, and cheese, they are excellent. Eat your heart out BK and McDonalds. Next time I'm in the mood for a fast food burger, I'm heading here.

Greasy food that soaks the paper bag it comes in... can't get any BETTER than that :)) Atmosphere: (B) KoP Food court can get crowded... but not so bad if you are just getting takeout. Food: (A+) Nothing like a a juicy burger you can get with whatever toppings you crave. And a junior is definitely an appropriate size to get for a standard burger. And then the fries that they stuffed in your bag, I'm amused by the sign that tells you where the potatoes came from :) Service: (B+) Not too long of a wait.. Overall: (A) Want some good grease... get a Five Guys.

Ok. I don't really eat red meat much. However... O to the M to the G! I force my sister, who works in the area, to bring me a burger when she can. I live in Jenkintown, so you can imagine that the burger's not piping hot when it gets here. But guess what? It's still delish! Wonder if it would be better reheated? Perhaps one day I'll stop scarfing it down fast enough to find out... Somehow I think it's like counting the licks to the center of a Totsie Roll Pop. The world may never know.

I'm not sure if it's this particular location or what, but my first Five Guys experience was a miserable one: The meat on the burgers was dry and sandpapery. I know I probably shouldn't compare it to the Holy Grail that is In-N-Out, but if they don't want me to compare, then why does the place look almost exactly the same? With that said, while In-N-Out's burgers are juicy, flavorful, delicious things of beauty, Five Guys' offerings in the burger department are, well... Overcooked. That's really all I can think to say about them. On the other hand, the fries were delicious. Thick, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, satisfyingly greasy but still light enough that I could probably eat a bucketful... Both of the stars in this review are for the fries! Zero stars for the burgers! BOTTOM LINE: Will probably give Five Guys another shot, but this time at a standalone location (and if the burgers still suck there, I'll stick to fries in the future).

yes, it's mall food, but five guys has a good reputation and usually delivers. not so with this location. i ordered a little cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mayo. i start eating, and i'm wondering why i don't taste any meat. upon disection of my burger, they gave me HALF of a burger. the patty was obviously cut in half-it wasn't even in a patty shape, more like a rectangle. i paid for a full burger, but they give me half. it was so ridiculous, i had to laugh. the topping were also wrong. there were pickles and mustard added to my burger when i didn't order them. luckily, i like those toppings to that wasn't a big deal. but the 1/2 a patty was the clincher. i don't know what the staff was smoking in the back, but how do you not notice that half of the burger is missing?! go to taco bell instead, at least you'll get a whole taco.

  • Eugene H.

Fries fried in peanut oil are just good...end of story. The burgers here are pretty good too as you can customize them. You end up paying a higher cost than McDonalds or Burger King, but you get what you pay for. Then again, you also get a whole bunch of greasy oil to go with your burger and fries. It's good, but not good for you!

So...I should have read the reviews before heading here because I did not realize this Five Guys was in the Mall. Now I know. Walking through the terribly lit and dingy food court at the mall was worth the trip to enjoy the sparkling heaven on earth burgers that are Five Guys. I'm a regular bacon cheese guy with standard toppings and I was not disappointed. My favorite thing at Five Guys is having the burgers handed to you buy the actual burger builder. I will say for this locale that the fries were awesome. Crispy, salty, and a tad peppery. Now, don't get me wrong, the burger was great also, just not quite as good as I've had previously at a Five Guys. Note to Five Guys newbies: A "regular burger" = 2 patties and your selection of toppings, a "little" = 1 patty.

  • Jennifer I.

Oh Five Guys. How I love you! This is the one burger that I devour with urgency whenever it is within reach. Keep your hands back. You might lose a finger. I always get the regular burger with sauteed mushrooms, jalapeño peppers, A1 and hot sauce. Don't forget an order of Cajun fries and a cherry Pepsi. Yum, Yum, Yum!

    (5)
  • Tim F.

Hands down the best burgers in the area. Pick your toppings and the burger is made to order. The Cajun fries are also great, get the small it's more fries then you'll be able to eat. If you're looking for something healthy look somewhere else, but who doesn't need a greasy burger once in awhile.

This Five Guys location opened up in the King of Prussia mall a few weeks back. It's in the food court, the older one that has the Taco Bell and Subway. Five Guys really brings some class to the selection. The food here is fantastic. The burgers are the best in the area, made with fresh beef that is never frozen. The fries are also the best in the area, and possibly the best I've ever had anywhere. They fry them in peanut oil and they give you tons of them. It's a nice, big place (for a mall food court) that has the typical Five Guys look. There's lots of room to mill around while waiting for your order to be ready. There were plenty of people working there each time I've been there, so you don't have to wait very long for your stuff to be made. Five Guys is the best burger place around and it's great to have one in such a convenient location.

The best double burger with extra cheese and grease I've ever had. If your looking for a fast, deliscous, and gratifying meal, check this place out. If your conscious of ever calorie, suck it up and order a double cheese burger. You wont regret it!
